Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer has signed an agreement with leading tire manufacturer, Ceat, under which he will use the bat bearing the company’s logo.
Prior to Iyer, star players like Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, Shubman Gill, Mayank Agarwal and Harmanpreet Kaur have been associated with Ceat. In all formats of the game, Iyer will now play with the Ceat logo on his bat.
In the series against West Indies, Iyer was preferred to replace Lokesh Rahul for fourth place in the Indian team and scored two consecutive half-centuries in the second and third ODIs. The 24-year-old Iyer, born in Mumbai, is the youngest captain of the Indian Premier League and the Delhi Capitals team led by him managed to make it to the play-offs for the first time in seven years in 2019.
Iyer made his India debut in T20 and ODI cricket in 2017 and was also part of the recently concluded T20 series between India and South Africa.
